RESPONSIBILITIES
OF EGSA COACHES
1. Provide for the safety and welfare of all participants.
2. Promote sportsmanship and foster good character by teaching, enforcing, advocating and modeling the characteristics of good sportsmanship and character.
3. Plan and monitor organized practices that will include proper conditioning, warm-ups, and instruction of fundamentals.
4. Develop athletes to the highest degree of skill possible.
--Players’ skills should be developed at both infield and outfield positions when possible.
5. Responsible for modeling respectful behavior and a duty to demand that athletes refrain from disrespectful conduct, including verbal abuse of opponents (Including inappropriate cheers) and officials.
6. Responsible for modeling respectful behavior and a duty not to indulge in conduct that would incite players or spectators against officials.
7. Return and inventory all equipment within one week after your last game.
